I am seeking a talented children’s book author and ghostwriter to craft an enchanting, heartfelt, and rhythmic story for a toddler board book audience. The narrative must center on a gentle, charming animal love story—focusing on themes of friendship, affection, and caring for one another in the natural world.

Because the target audience consists of 3-year-olds, the manuscript needs to be short, punchy, and highly musical. It must keep young minds captivated through vibrant imagery, emotional warmth, and a comforting, predictable structure perfect for bedtime or circle-time reading.

✨ Key Project Requirements

• Strictly Rhyming Copy: The entire story must be written in a flawless, natural meter (e.g., AABB or ABAB rhyme scheme). The cadence must be rhythmic and easy to read aloud, avoiding forced rhymes or awkward syllable structures.

• Age-Appropriate Language: The vocabulary must be perfectly tailored for a 3-year-old’s developmental stage. Use simple, evocative words combined with fun sound elements (onomatopoeia) or gentle repetition that encourages toddler interaction.

• Tone & Atmosphere: Warm, sweet, cozy, and subtly humorous. The “love story” should be innocent and sweet—focusing on how two animal characters look out for each other, share discoveries, and express comfort.

• Visual-Ready Layout: Writers must provide brief, non-intrusive illustration notes for each page spread so the manuscript is perfectly primed for a graphic designer later.

📦 Deliverables

1. A Complete Manuscript: Approximately 200 to 400 words broken down into 10 to 12 distinct page spreads (ideal for a standard children’s board book format).

2. Integrated Art Notes: Clear, brief descriptions of the suggested visual action accompanying each stanza to guide a future illustrator.

3. File Formats: The final copy must be delivered in an editable document format (DOCX or Google Doc) along with a clean PDF version.

4. Full Rights Transfer: Upon final milestone release, 100% intellectual property and commercial usage rights will transfer to me.
