JOB VACANCY: SITE SUPERVISOR & PROJECT COORDINATOR (ISLAND RESORT FIT-OUT)

Project: LangTerra Homestay (Lang Terra Enterprise)

Location: Pasir Aru, Pulau Lang Tengah (Logistics Hub: Merang Jetty / Kuala Terengganu)

Type: Project-Based Contract / Freelance (Immediate Start)

Compensation: RM 150 daily rate) + full boat travel allowance

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a hands-on, highly dependable Site Supervisor & Project Coordinator to oversee the completion, physical auditing, and site coordination of a boutique island hospitality development (3 staff rooms + 3 guest chalets + restaurant facility) located at Pasir Aru, Pulau Lang Tengah.

Acting with direct delegated authority from the Principal Investor, the successful candidate will bridge field execution and executive accountability, ensuring remaining civil/finishing works are completed without further delay.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELEGATED AUTHORITY:

– On-Site Quality & Progress Control: Actively supervise daily site works, inspect carpentry/finishing/MEP, and direct on-site tradesmen and subcontractors to meet milestones.

– Physical & Inventory Auditing: Verify all materials, tools, and equipment delivered against supplier delivery orders and invoices. Ensure zero wastage or unauthorized material removal.

– Daily Field Reporting: Deliver verified photo/video documentation and progress reports via WhatsApp directly to the Principal Investor.

– Logistics Coordination: Coordinate boat transfers, material loading at Merang Jetty, and smooth disembarkation at Pasir Aru.

– Milestone Verification: Independently inspect completed works prior to certifying progress for payment release.

REQUIREMENTS:

– Experience in site supervision, building renovation, or timber/chalet resort works (island experience on Redang, Perhentian, or Lang Tengah is an advantage).

– Formal academic credentials are secondary; proven field leadership, strict integrity, and operational agility are our primary selection criteria.

– Based locally in Terengganu (Merang, Setiu, or Kuala Terengganu) with personal transport to Merang Jetty.

– Willing to travel frequently by boat to the island when required.

– Strong command of Bahasa Melayu; working knowledge of English for investor reporting.
