Norsyahida Sulaiman Bachelors Born in the Federal Territory of Labuan, Syahida is a dedicated and driven graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Biotechnology from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), proudly sponsored by the Sabah State Government.
Syahida brings hands-on experience in oncology, entomology research, and clinical diagnostic testing. Her most notable achievement to date is her final year research project, which explored a potential biomarker for early detection of colorectal cancer (CRC). The study found that the presence of the G allele in DNMT3B rs1569686 SNP significantly reduces the risk of CRC—highlighting a promising direction for future diagnostic approaches.
