Azure Solutions Architect – Application Modernization (Remote)

Location: Remote (Malaysia-based projects)

Job Type: Full-time / Contract

Salary: $50/hour (≈ $8,000 – $9,000/month full-time equivalent)

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Azure Solutions Architect to lead enterprise cloud transformation and application modernization initiatives.

This is a hands-on architecture role involving legacy application migration, Azure PaaS design, DevOps implementation, and enterprise-level solution delivery.

You will work closely with stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement Azure cloud architectures (App Service, Functions, AKS, Azure SQL)

Lead migration of legacy applications to Azure PaaS (rehost, refactor, rearchitect)

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions

Manage containerized workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

Lead Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise Cloud migration (GEI)

Troubleshoot migration issues and validate repositories and workflows

Participate in client workshops, presales discussions, and solution design

Prepare SOWs, RFP responses, and cost estimations

Requirements:

12+ years IT experience in cloud architecture or software engineering

Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (mandatory)

Strong experience with Azure services (AKS, App Service, Functions, SQL Database)

Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions

Hands-on experience with containerization and microservices

Experience with at least one language: C#, Java, Node.js, or Python

Strong understanding of cloud migration and application modernization

Nice to Have

GitHub Certified Foundations / GitHub Actions certification

Terraform or Bicep (Infrastructure as Code)

Experience in consulting or system integrator environments

Kubernetes networking and operations experience
