Summary

We are looking for freelancers residing in Malaysia to participate in market research and user experience (UX) testing for several online financial trading platforms.

The objective is to understand how Malaysian customers experience different trading platforms, including account registration, identity verification, platform usability, marketing communications, and customer engagement strategies.

Job Description

We are seeking detail-oriented Malaysian residents to conduct competitor research and user experience testing on selected online trading platforms.

Selected freelancers will be required to explore designated platforms, document their customer journey, and provide feedback on their overall experience.

The research will focus on understanding how online trading platforms attract, onboard, and engage customers in the Malaysian market.

Responsibilities

• Register and explore selected online trading platforms.
• Document the account registration and onboarding process.
• Review the identity verification (KYC) and account activation journey.
• Evaluate the user experience across mobile applications and websites.
• Assess platform navigation, usability and accessibility.
• Monitor and document marketing communications received through email, SMS and push notifications.
• Review promotional offers, welcome bonuses and customer retention campaigns.
• Evaluate the deposit and withdrawal processes and interfaces without using personal funds.
• Explore the trading interface and available platform features.
• Capture screenshots and document observations throughout the testing process.
• Submit a structured report highlighting findings, observations and recommendations.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or above.
• Must be a Malaysian citizen or legal resident of Malaysia.
• Must possess valid Malaysian identification (MyKad or other accepted identification, if required).
• Must have access to a smartphone and reliable internet connection.
• Comfortable navigating mobile applications and online financial platforms.
• Able to communicate findings clearly in English.
• Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Previous experience with online trading or investment platforms is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Have approx. USD 200 for testing deposits and trading activities.
