Product Design & Mechanical Engineering — Refillable Skincare Dispensing Case

Project Desciption

I’m a solo founder developing a reusable, refillable dispensing case for skincare products, designed to replace single-use travel bottles and reduce plastic waste. The concept and core requirements are already worked out on paper — I’m looking for a mechanical engineer/designer to help refine the mechanism, resolve remaining technical details, and produce a manufacturable design.

What I need:

• Take an existing concept and written requirements spec and develop it into a real, manufacturable mechanical design (SolidWorks or equivalent)
• Help resolve a number of open mechanical questions (details shared directly with shortlisted candidates)
• Deliver technical drawings/CAD suitable for 3D-printed prototyping and later manufacturer quoting

Ideal skills: SolidWorks or similar CAD software (required); experience with cosmetic packaging, pump/dispensing mechanisms, or small consumer product housings (strongly preferred); comfortable working from a written spec rather than a finished design.

Process: I’ll share the full spec and reference sketch directly with candidates I’d like to move forward with, along with a simple NDA.
