We are proud to have played a major part in mainstream awareness, adoption, and education of cryptocurrency globally.
We are hiring a Senior Product Marketer to drive the reach, adoption, and positioning of CoinGecko’s API, with a focus on Sales-led Growth. You will play a key role in communicating our product value to market, deepening our product-market fit, enabling the sales team with the tools they need to convert high-intent leads (MQLs / PQLs), and supporting go-to-market (GTM) for new features and use cases. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, product, and sales.
What You Will Be Doing
- Positioning & Messaging: Define and refine our product positioning and messaging across target customer segments—developers, crypto-native builders and projects, businesses, institutional platforms, and more.
- Sales Enablement: Develop and maintain high-quality sales enablement materials, including case study decks, product one-pagers, sales pitch decks, landing page content, and competitor battle cards.
- Go-To-Market (GTM) Execution: Plan and execute GTM strategies for product updates, new data endpoints, new data delivery methods, or vertical use cases. Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, and Growth teams to align on GTM briefs, timelines, and success metrics.
- Drive Thought Leadership & External Visibility: Lead efforts to enhance CoinGecko API’s visibility through strategic communications—ranging from PR, media outreach, to thought leadership initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally to amplify key product milestones, establish crypto data authority in priority markets, and strengthen our market perception among businesses and industry stakeholders.
- CRM & Email Strategy: Support post-demo nurturing via CRM/email campaigns—particularly for Managed Accounts—ensuring that leads receive relevant follow-ups and educational content aligned to their use case.
- Content Production: Partner with the content and creative teams to create written and visual assets to support product launches, nurture journeys, and sales conversations.
- Product-Led Narrative: Translate technical capabilities into clear business value, especially for complex API features. You’ll serve as the voice of the product to the market, and the voice of the market back to product.
- Customer & Market Insights: Conduct user, market research and competitor analysis to guide positioning and content. Identify trends, customer pain points, and gaps in messaging. Stay up-to-date with the latest cryptocurrency and marketing trends.
- Internal Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Growth, and external freelancers as required. Help shape positioning for new verticals and inform future roadmap based on sales conversations and customer feedback.
- Planning & Strategy: Actively seek out ways to improve the effectiveness of what we do. Collaborate with team leads to ensure that plans are aligned towards a common goal by reviewing progress and priorities on a quarterly basis, and building a good understanding of what our users want/need.
- Improve Playbooks: Besides improving upon existing workflows and guidelines, create new playbooks from scratch when needed. Participate in knowledge sharing activities and ensure that important information is updated/documented well.
- Performance Reporting: Track and measure the performance of your initiatives (content usage, campaign conversion, sales feedback) and iterate accordingly. Provide regular reporting and analysis on performance metrics and effectively communicate feedback and learnings with the team. Build and/or automate new dashboards from scratch when needed.
- Coaching: Able to mentor interns, junior team members, and manage freelancers.
- You are required to support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company.
What We Look For In You
- Proven Ability: You are a T-shaped Marketer with 4+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, growth marketing, or B2B SaaS marketing—preferably for API, crypto, fintech, or developer-focused products. You’ve owned or meaningfully contributed to one or more areas such as sales enablement, content, go-to-market launches, or CRM/email marketing. A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
- Marketing Foundations: You’re equipped with core marketing skills—ranging from positioning and messaging, to content creation and campaign execution. You understand sales funnels, personas, and value propositions, and have experience using tools like Google Sheets, GA4, Figma, HubSpot, Salesforce, Mixpanel, or Amplitude. Bonus if you’re comfortable working with light data analysis (SQL) or CRM/email tools for nurturing flows.
- Domain Knowledge: Passion for cryptocurrency, blockchain, or financial markets is a huge plus. Upon joining, you’re expected to quickly build a strong understanding of our API users (developers, analysts, DeFi platforms), what they value, and how to best position our product to meet their evolving needs.
- Bias to Action: You’re proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented. You don’t wait to be told what to do—you seek clarity, ask questions, and find ways to move forward. You apply what you learn and are constantly looking to improve both your skills and your output.
- Operational Excellence: You have a sharp eye for detail and deliver high-quality, error-free work. Whether you’re building a sales deck, writing product copy, or launching a campaign, you hold yourself—and others—to high standards of execution.
- Strong Opinions, Loosely Held: You form opinions based on insights, data, or market signals. You’re confident in making calls, but you’re also open-minded and humble enough to shift direction when better evidence or feedback emerges.
- Entrepreneurial: You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building things from scratch. You’re self-motivated, comfortable working across functions, and eager to take ownership of your projects from strategy to execution.
- Excellent Communicator: You write and speak clearly, concisely, and persuasively. You can tailor complex ideas into language that resonates with technical and non-technical audiences alike. You’re able to collaborate well with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, and Design.
- Experience hiring and managing freelancers and/or agencies is a plus.
